The bill (Reg. No. 9040) sets responsibility for the failure to meet an obligation or improper fulfillment of obligations on upkeep or treatment of dogs or other animals which caused bodily injury or death.

 

The Criminal Code is supplemented with the additional clause 299-1 of the following content:

 

"Clause 299-1. Failure to meet an obligation or improper fulfillment of obligations on upkeep or treatment of dogs or other animals

 

1. Failure to meet an obligation or improper fulfillment of obligations on upkeep or treatment of dogs or other animals which caused moderate bodily injury is punishable by the penalty from two hundred to five hundred tax-free allowances or public works up to forty hours or correctional task for the term of up to two years or restriction of freedom for three years or deprivation of freedom for the same term.

 

2. If the same actions cause severe bodily injury or death, they are punishable by the restriction of freedom for the term from three to five years or deprivation of freedom for the term of three to nine years."
